Yancy Medeiros Draws 'Platinum' Mike Perry at UFC 226

Yancy Medeiros returns from a main event disappointment to face “Platinum” Mike Perry at UFC 226: Miocic vs. Cormier, the MMA juggernaut's summer blockbuster. Medeiros (15-5, 1 NC) had a three-fight winning streak cut short when he came up against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the main event of UFC Fight Night 126 in Feb. 18 in Austin, Texas. It was an entertaining battle, but Medeiros came up short with Cerrone finishing him with two seconds left in the opening round. It was Medeiros' first loss since moving from lightweight up to welterweight, where his record in the UFC currently stands at 3-1. He'll attempt to get right back in the thick of things at 170 pounds when he faces Perry at UFC 226 on July 7 in Las Vegas. Perry (11-3) had become one of the more mesmerizing welterweights on the roster when he opened his UFC tenure with a 4-1 record, having won all four victories by way of knockout. Perry fell into a skid in his two most recent bouts, having lost back-to-back unanimous decisions to Santiago Ponzinibbio and Max Griffin.  TRENDING > Report: ESPN and FOX Sports Team Up to Make Joint Bid on UFC Television…
